Sheep Mountain 150 Sled Dog Race
2005 Race Results
The Sheep Mountain 150, a 150-mile dogsled race between Sheep Mountain and Eureka Lodges, was held December 17-18, 2005. Teams started in two-minute intervals beginning at noon on Saturday. Below are teams entered and their order of finish:

Ken Anderson of Fairbanks, Alaska, won the 2005 Sheep Mountain 150 sled dog race early Sunday afternoon. His winning time of 1 day, 0 hour, and 28 minutes was just 6 minutes faster than that of runner up Sebastian Schneulle of Whitehorse, Yukon. Melanie Gould of Talkeetna, Alaska placed third. For their efforts Anderson won $1750 (1st), Schneulle won $1250 (2nd) and Gould won $750 (3rd). Gould also won the coveted Eureka Lodge Veterinary Care Award. Schneulle also won the Sheep Mountain Lodge Sportsmanship Award. |
