SNOW and TRAIL REPORT
Updated: Thursday, February 2, 2012
Skiing Report:
We got about 6 inches new show in the last week. All trails are re-groomed for skate and classic skiing. FANTASTIC snow conditions + WARM temperatures = GREAT skiing! Step off the groomed trail and you are easily up to your waist in powder. Bring your snowshoes for an off-trail adventure! The Old Glenn Hwy (Mile 115) is in good shape for ski touring as well, it is almost 4 miles one-way, and was been groomed four foot wide. Backcountry skiers use caution as avalanch conditions are high. Day users please contribute to the trail grooming donation jar in the Lodge front entry.
"Don't forget to look up."
Snowmachine Report:
6-8 inches new snow in the last week. The main trail between Sheep Mountain and Eureka was groomed today (Thurs). Come up for a ride before the big game on Sunday. The trail to Lake Louise will be re-set on Saturday. Riding is very good with trails established and powder just about everywhere. Trail markers are up from Sheep Mtn Lodge to the Old Gunsight Mtn Lodge. From there you can follow the powerline the last 5 miles to Eureka Lodge. Ride safe / ride Right. Please use caution in the mountains as there is lots of snow up high and avalanch danger is above normal. Day users please contribute to the trail grooming donation jar in the Lodge entry. Have fun and be safe out there!
